A Letter to Santa, Belfast City Council Session

We were very lucky to have Sonja from Belfast City Council Waste Management in for a Storytelling session! We really enjoyed listening to the story ‘A Letter to Santa’ which found Santa having to deal with a melting North Pole and pollution in the Ocean. He couldn’t source new resources to make his toys. However, Santa was able to come up with a solution - reusing old toys to create Christmas presents!

We were able to talk about and consider how we effect our environment and steps we can take to help such as Reducing, Reusing and Recycling!

We had a wonderful day today dressing up in our Halloween costumes and taking part in Movie and Munch with Primary 7. We watched a movie called Monster House.

Primary 5 & 6 have a daily dose of mindfulness each day. There are many benefits of practicing mindfulness in the classroom and we really enjoy using Go Noodle videos online.
