On Tuesday 20th June, we had a visit from Okey Dokey Designs. They helped us with some really great creative writing ideas and helped us to use our imaginations. Then they showed us some IT designs they brought with them. It was a lot of fun!
We had an amazing morning at Olympia Leisure Centre on Tuesday where we were invited to take part in a boxing training day. We learnt new skills for the sport and played lots of games. We also got to meet Ryan Burnett, who is a professional boxer! It was an amazing opportunity! Thanks to Belfast City Council for inviting us along!
We had a super morning with the Young at Art team last Thursday morning who were working with Translink. We were designing wheels to be put on hoarding to be displayed in one of the bus centres in Belfast. We will let you know all the details when we know more! We think our display looked fantastic!
We had a lot of fun when the fire service visited us today. We learnt a lot about fire safety and then had a look around the fire engine. We were even able to have a go with the hose!
A huge 'thank you' to the firefighters for giving up their valuable time to come to us!
We have been having a lot of fun designing and building our body boxes! We have learnt where each of our body organs are and what function they have. We think you will agree that our bodies are truly amazing!!

P5/6 have been enjoying our new topic - The Human Body. We have been finding out why our skeleton is so important to us. We have been investigating types of bones by making skeletons from dried pasta.

We made lots of delicious fruit kebabs which were quickly snapped up by hungry children and parents! Many thanks to all the children who helped out - it was a great day!
P5/6 held our school assembly for Anti-bullying week. Our acting skills wowed the school and we taught everyone about the different forms of bullying and how to seek help when needed. Some promising actors and actresses in the making.
P5/6 are taking part in the Sport For Life programme in school over the next 12 weeks. It is a really good way to keep fit, learn about being healthy and have fun!
