Primary Two are learning all about the Seaside, what animals live in the ocean and how to keep safe near the beach. They are enjoying playing in the role play ‘beside the sea’ where they can pretend to buy food, take orders, sunbathe and play in the sand.
P2 are excited for Spring and love seeing the sun! We spent the afternoon in our school garden playing games with our friends.
In P2 we are thinking about how we are all very brave and kind. We read the story ‘The Snail and the Whale’ and went onto create our own snail and whale drawings using watercolour paints and oil pastels.
P2 are learning all about plants and growing. We are planting our own cress seeds in cotton wool and investigating if some will grow in a cupboard or without water. P2 are excited to see the results.
We had the Teddy Bear Hospital Society in with P2 this week and the children learnt so much about how we can keep our bodies healthy. P2 had the opportunity to see models of bones and pretend to be doctors using the medical apparatus on our teddy bears 🧸.
For Remembrance Day we drew poppies using oil pastels and watercolour paints.

AUTUMN 🍂
P2 have been looking into the season of Autumn and how the leaves on the trees change colour. P2 went on to draw their own autumn trees using oil pastels and circular tissue paper for the leaves.
P2 have been looking at differences and how we are all unique. We read the story ‘Elmer the Elephant’ and drew and painted our own elephants.
