Numeracy

P6/7 enjoyed Numeracy week. They had fun hunting for numbers during the Daily mile. Danske bank visited the class and taught the children all about budgeting, saving money and dealing with finances. The highlight of the week was a Numeracy themed dress up day.

Using Mathematical language is a focus in P6 and P7. We have been looking at language such as; multiples, factors and products. We created a ‘Guess My Number’ game using clues involving mathematical language and we enjoyed sharing our game with our class. Come and have a look at our wall display, can you crack the clues and guess our numbers?

In P6 and P7 we enjoy using a range of interactive resources to develop our mental maths skills. Recently we have been working on Squared Numbers and instant recall of the upper end of the Times Tables.
