Literacy

P7 started a pilot AI project - Digital Me with BSCR

The project helps young people discover how AI works and where it’s used in everyday life.

•Explore the difference between safe and unsafe information to share online.

•Understand how AI can sometimes get things wrong or be misused.

•Create safety posters and pledges to promote responsible AI use across their school.

This project links directly to Digital Literacy, Health & Wellbeing, Technology & Creativity, and promotes responsible online behaviour. 🤖💻

As part of our Literacy work, P7 pupils created adjective word clouds to celebrate each other’s positive qualities. Every child received a unique word cloud designed by their peers, filled with kind and thoughtful adjectives that describe their personality and strengths.

This activity not only developed pupils’ vocabulary, but also encouraged kindness, teamwork and self-esteem. The finished word clouds are a wonderful reminder of the power of words to lift each other up.

🪥✨ Our P7s took part in the Toothpaste Kindness Challenge!

We learned that once words are spoken, just like toothpaste squeezed from a tube, they can’t be put back in. A simple but powerful reminder that our words matter — so let’s choose kindness every time 💙
