Numeracy

Ordering by length - P1 have had fun ordering the different caterpillars by length. They have been using key vocabulary such as (long, longer, longest) and (short, shorter, shortest) throughout their practical activities. The children were then shown how to measure their caterpillars using the unifix cubes. 🌟 🐛 🌟

The children enjoyed learning all about capacity. They are now able to use the key vocabulary when discussing this concept - ‘full, half full and empty’.

The children have been learning how to count sets. They have been counting out from a larger group, matching the number to the quantity and building towers up to 10. We love numeracy in P1! 😊
