Schools of Sanctuary
At Blythefield Primary School, we are proud to be a School of Sanctuary , a place of welcome and safety for everyone. As part of the Schools of Sanctuary NI network, we celebrate diversity, promote inclusion, and ensure everyone feels respected and supported. Through our curriculum, daily school life, and community engagement, we help pupils understand the importance of compassion, respect, and belonging. We teach our children to be kind, curious, and open-hearted, ensuring our school is a space where all feel seen, heard, and valued. Together, we are building a brighter, more inclusive Northern Ireland — starting with our young people.
We were delighted to welcome the First Minister Arlene Foster and Junior Minister Megan Fearon to officially open our amazing new school garden. 'To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow' (Audrey Hepburn) we are excited to share some special moments captured during the opening today.
